They also employ “interns” to stand on thesidewalk outside the gates of PP to hand out information andto encourage clients to get a free pregnancy test at the Thrivemobile unit parked across the street instead of paying $135 toget a preg. Missouri Right to Life: mission: “To uphold and promotethe sanctity of all innocent human life at every stage throughnatural death by providing education and by supportinglegislation and programs that endorse that ideal; and byorganizing citizens for effective results”Core Issues: Abortion, Human cloning and human embryonicstem cell research, infanticide, euthanasia and assistedsuicide.Legislation: MRL has drafted and helped to pass legislationthat bans partial-birth and webcam abortions, prevents publicfunding of abortion services, human cloning and embryonicstem cell research; ensures that women are providedinformation about their baby’s development, the opportunityto view an ultrasound, and a minimum 72-hour reflectionperiod after receiving such information; also: provides taxcredits for donations to charities serving pregnant women incrisis and funding for alternatives to abortion services;ensures that every person is given life-preserving healthcareand has the right to the highest attainable standard ofhealthcare without discrimination.Political Action: Known for two of the state’s most active andsuccessful political action committees, the MRL PAC informsMissourians about their legislators’ voting records andcandidates’ positions on pro-life issues.Education: MRL offers life-affirming videos, books, speakers,and resources to Missourians.
